  • Maintenance Tips

    Periodic Deep Conditioning

    Treat the wig to a deep conditioning treatment every few weeks to keep the hair hydrated and maintain its soft, wavy texture.

    Gentle Detangling:

    Before washing, gently detangle the wig using a wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush. Start from the tips and work your way up to the wefts to prevent unnecessary stress on the hair cuticle.

    Air-Drying is Key:

    To maintain the wavy texture, avoid excessive heat styling. Instead, allow the wig to air-dry naturally. Gently scrunch the hair with your hands to enhance the natural waves while it dries.

    Storage:

    When not in use, store the wavy wig on a wig stand or in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight and excessive heat, as these can impact the integrity of the hair.

    Wave-Enhancing Products:

    For a quick refresh, use a curling wand, wave-enhancing spray or styling serum. Section out and lightly massage the hair strands with the products and wrap it around the curling wand. Pin in place, use a hold spray to set the new waves. Then use a wide-tooth comb to revive and redefine the texture/wave pattern.

    Nighttime Care (For Installation):

    Before bed, tie the lace around your hairline with an elastic band, loosely braid the wig or gather it into a loose ponytail. You can also use a satin or silk scarf or a satin pillowcase to minimize friction and frizz.

Before you begin measuring your head, make sure your hair is braided down or laying flat (with or without a wig cap). Your hair must be in the same shape you would have it right before applying the wig. This will eliminate bulges that distort head contours. Use a tape measure to measure. Most lace wig measurements are made in inches. Do not stretch the tape measure tape when measuring. * When measuring, place your measuring tape outside of your natural hairline.

Please note -  Always place the tape exactly where you would like your wig to sit on your head.

Hair Loss Clients -  If your hairline is too far back as a result of hair loss, place your tape exactly where you would like the lace or hair to start from.

Glueless Wig Clients - You may consider reducing your ear-to-ear measurements by 1" as glueless caps stretch and tend to run bigger.
